Where Art Happens
Here at the studio we host fun and relaxed evenings where you can explore a new craft (or maybe go back to an old one you haven't tried in a while!). Our workshops are tailored for small groups, so everyone gets plenty of guidance and the chance to make something they’re proud of.
Whether you’re trying art for the very first time or have been creating for years, you’ll find a place here in our workshops. Come try something new and enjoy making art in good company!
ABOUT US
THE TOMATOES
Hi there, nice to meet you! We’re Hugo and Maria, two Brazilian artists who now call Vancouver, BC home. We met in 2018, when the both of us already worked independently as bookbinders, and bonded over this shared passion. We started teaching workshops together in our hometown and never stopped creating together since.
Now living in Canada, we want to share our expertise and love for multiple art forms (think bookbinding, drawing, sculpting in polymer clay, block printing, and much more!) with as many people as possible.
We know life gets full. Sometimes, the hobbies that light you up can quickly slip to the bottom of your list of priorities. We've been there too. That's why we've built a space where you can show up to try something new without pressure and perhaps leave feeling a little more like yourself. Come hang out with us and let art find its way back to you!
